The Car:
A 1972 Porsche 911T with a normally-aspirated 3.6-liter motor from a
1993 911. Headers and an aftermarket DME chip increase power from
stock 210 rwhp to 228 rwhp on pump gas. The fenders are flared to
accept 9.5 and 11-inch wheels, and the suspension has been converted to
coil-overs from the original torsion bars. Some of the other
suspension components have been chopped and re-welded to improve
geometry. The car has a bolt-in cage and a fire suppression system,
but is still primarily my street car, with air conditioning and a full
leather interior. It's heavier than stock: at just over 2700 pounds
with the driver and a tank of gas.
