RACE THE TRUCK!
Well we took the Truck to the Nevada Open Road Challenge in May and
wanted to see just how fast this Hay Hauler would get up to. We started
out by getting the truck to 125, then 130, and then to 140. At 140 the truck was
buffeting a bit from an aero push on the huge frontal area. No surprise there.
We kept going until we got to about 152 or so then the truck started to smooth out.
We kept climbing until we got to 160! YeeHaw! Uh-Oh, what's that!? The truck then
stuttered a bit and then just quit running! CRAP! The engine suffered from extreme detonation and wound up eating two cylinders. End result was a DNF for the event! Bummer!
We'll be back to reclaim our Title!
